My name is Ivar Rekve and I work and live in Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain. I have specialized in creating and managing Social Networks. 

My latest project has been with Xacobeo (company run by the regional government of Galicia to promote the “Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela”), defining requirements for this new website, as well as social networks and managing and running these during the holy year of 2010. Close to 2.000.000 visits during 2010.

I have international experience after working for Deloitte Consulting in Seattle (USA) and Colorado State University (USA), In addition I have experience from IT related projects in Norway. 

I graduated from Washington State University (WSU) with an MBA in May 1999. Previous experience includes teaching and Management Information Systems (MIS) class at Washington State University as well as acting as a teaching assistant for five different MIS courses. I also have experience with both user support and software development projects through internships in Norway.

I have worked at Colorado State University as an “Instructional Design and Technology Specialist”. Here my responsibilities were to develop distance classes that were delivered on the web to student all over the United States. My job required me to be both a web developer, producer (for faculty recording lectures in the recording studio) and as a technical resource for faculty at Colorado State University. In addition to the responsibilities listed above, I acted as WebCT administrator for 1100 WebCT courses with more than 20.000 students logging in every day. This included responsibilities such as user support and daily maintenance.

Previously I worked for Deloitte Consulting on different projects in the western region of the United States as well as Canada.
